YouTube Google MBC Korean Wave Concert

With the title you probably thought I was able to attend the concert in San Jose.
Sadly, I didn't have time for them as they invited to fly me down in their private jet.
BUT! I did stream the concert on YouTube at www.youtube.com/mbckpop
I was meaning to post the set list yesterday, but it went till real late (I live on the east coast).
There were 9 KPOP groups that attended the concert. MBLAQ, Sistar, f(x)d, Kara, B2ST, Girls' Generation, Wonder Girls, Super Junior and TVXQ. The concert was a celebration of the agreement reached by Google/YouTube and MBC on content sharing pertaining to the Hallyu Wave (aka the Korean Wave). The hosst of the night were Tiffany and Taeyeon of Girls' Generation.
And below is the set of the night:
Kara - Step
MBLAQ - This is War, Y, Oh Yeah
Sistar - Alone, Ma Boy, So Cool
f(x) - Danger (Pinnochio), Hot Summer, NU ABO
Sun Ye (WG) - Father (Cover) (Original by In Sooni)
Seohyun (SNSD) - Flying Duck (Cover) (Original by Cherry Filter)
Kara - Lupin, Mister
B2ST - Shock, Fiction, Beautiful
SNSD (sans Yuri and Yoona) - The Boys (Eng Ver), Mr. Taxi, Gee
Wonder Girls - Be My Baby, Tell Me, Nobody
Super Junior (sans Siwon) - Superman, Mr. Simple, Sorry Sorry
TVXQ - Keep Your Head Down, Before U Go, Rising Sun
All artists - Arirang

Everybody got three songs and a bit of talk time. Many of the groups either had a native English speaker, or really tried their best to converse with the crowd. One complaint I had for the concert was that the translator was not professional enough. She ended one of her sentences with  "So...."
When the concert began, I was wondering who was going to open up the concert. Be the first act. I thought it was quite fitting that Kara did it, cause they are all the rage in Japan.
Then it was MBLAQ. To be honest, I'm not a fan of MBLAQ. I don't know any of the members' names but I did appreciate their stage, it was very well done, and they were very enthusiastic.
Sistar was the bomb. Hyorin especially <3 Sure, she is my bias in the group (although I do love Bora on IY2), but I thought all members did really well. Their first song, Alone, was remixed a bit, with a little dance sequence in the beginning. Ma Boy got the entire crowd going nuts. Dasom had awesome English (it was really unexpected). So Cool definitely ended their set with a bang. Sistar's songs are so sexy, and yet so hot and cute all at the same time (that has been their consistent image so far).
f(x) performed next and in this performance it made me realise how freakishly tall Sulli really was (she mentioned her growth spurt on some other variety shows (I think it was running man) and some SNSD members have mentioned it before, but she is TALL).  During their ment, the crowd really went crazy when Amber started talking. She knows how to work the crowd, shout outs and just making the crowd feel so comfortable. Krystal did add a chirp, but it was mostly Amber.
Then Sun Ye from the Wonder Girls did a solo, and it was just so touching. Her voice was so beautiful, and the emotion she put into it. After her solo was the maknae's solo, Seohyun of SNSD. The song was super adorable for her, and she looked and sounded so beautiful on stage. One of my favourite performances of the night.
Then Kara returned onto the stage with two more songs. It's not that I don't LOVE them, I'm just not as excited about them as, say, Sistar. Nicole tripped over a few words when beginning her English ment, and the whole thing in all sounded really awkward. Nicole is forgetting her English!!!
B2ST took over the stage afterwards. I thought it was really funny planning, as Goo Hara is dating a member of B2ST ;P After watching eatyourkimchi, I don't say beast anymore, instead I say betoost. LOL. Thanks Simon and Martina. Again, not so familiar with this group other than Kikwang. That is cause Mingsze loves him. hehe. I know two of the three songs. Shock and Beautiful. Shock is because of Mingsze and her going "everyday I shock (SHOCK!)".
Then GG came on. Sans Yuri and Yoona because both are filming Fashion King and Love Rain respectively. Boo. I wanted to see Yuri on stage. And it looked really odd with just seven of them. They sang The Boys in English AND live. *fangirls*. Then they opted for Mr. Taxi followed by Gee. They sounded really good, which is a plus, and Sooyoung and Seobaby's English rocked. Cons, HYOYEON WAS BARELY ON CAMERA. I used to not care much about that, but seeing her variety personality and her recently beautification (I probably made that word up), I don't get why they don't want her on camera. I'm very VERY disappointed about that. Especially cause there was seven girls on stage and STILL she didn't get much camera time. BOO!!!! Gee brought the house down. (I'll probably use that phrase a few times in this blog post.)
Ok there were a few songs that brought the house down, almost one from each artist. Kara's Mister, Sistar's Ma Boy, GG's Gee, Super Junior's Sorry Sorry (but I felt all their songs got the whole place pumping), and TVXQ... enough said. XD
Wonder Girls then took the stage. I thought after GG did The Boys in English, that WG would do Be My Baby in English too. I was wrong. The girls have started to get their English down, and it was wonderful seeing them on stage. The swan dance (another name dubbed by eyk) was epic. I really love that song because of that. And they obviously did their smash hit Tell Me and Nobody. Nobody is so overplayed now, that I can barely bother to care about that song.
Super Junior was up next, sans Siwon. I believe he's going to start/is already in a drama. Superman had an epic entrance, with members starting from many places around the theatre. Crazy fangirls were reaching for them. LOL. Apparently Simon and Martina got a high five from Leeteuk (lucky.....) Of course, SJ is really good at creating that good mood. Sorry Sorry was just epic (as they said in their ment "I don't think you guys can listen to this song sitting down".... or did Tiffany say that about Gee..... @.@) Anyway, it was just awesome.
Then the Rising Gods of the East (minus JYJ T_T SM needs to beg them to come back!!!). I was waiting for this the entire night. GAHHH~! *fangirls* Before U Go was really hot. Like actually. GAHHH! I don't think I can criticize anything from the performance... other than Changmin's "are you ready to get crazy?" scream. XD
The pros of sitting in front of my computer watching the concert was that I could sing along to the songs, do some fan chants and dance to the songs without feeling like I have a 100 pairs of eyes staring at me and the possibility of me being on camera because of that. I danced to basically every song I knew.

Can never stick to anything :S

Been wanting to keep a blog, but I can never commit to something.
I also took pictures of my mask collection and never got around to posting it too. Although I did say I would post them on my tumblr, I think it would make more sense to post it here. Most masks I buy are Korean like Etude House (currently endorsed by Shinee and Dara from 2NE1), Missha (I think TVXQ HOMIN is endorsing for them), Nature Republic (I'm confused about the endorsement for this brand, I see both Jang Geun Suk and Goo Hara on the Korean website =o=), Holika Holika (endorsed by CN Blue), Tony Moly (endorsed by Kim Hyun Joong), The Face Shop (endorsed by the maknae Seohyun of SNSD).   I will show my collection of masks, some I have used already, so I will be able to give a mini review. It's really hard to do reviews of masks unless you use them consecutively. But the other thing about masks is that you have to see how it is the first time, and I didn't want to commit to so many masks at once.
Etude House Pearl Extract
I did feel my skin brighten a bit, but my skin didn't feel as nice as I thought it would be.
The essence was sort of sticky on my face. I prefer masks to be more refreshing.

Holika Holika Blueberry Essence
One of my favourite masks. It smells delicious ^^
VERY moisturizing. The smell is a bonus.

Missha Aloe
Definitely my favourite mask of all time. It's unbelievable how moisturising it is.
I have tried alot of other aloe masks, but nothing beats Missha.

Missha Collagen

Missha Teatree
Missha masks have been ok with me so far.
This is a bit moisturising too, but it does control oils more.

Nature Republic Aloe
This aloe is not bad either. I just love aloe in general,
as you may notice when you are scrolling down.

The Face Shop Aloe Mask
This promised 1000 mg of water in the mask.
Packaging was sort of true, as the mask was DRIPPING
with essence when I pulled it out. Refreshing as it was,
it was not EXTREMELY refreshing. BUT definitely moisturising.

The Face Shop Hyaluronic Acid

Tony Moly's Acerola Mask
If I am correct it is a tomato face mask.

Tony Moly Collagen
I have bought quite a few collagen masks
and I probably need to start using it.

Tony Moly Essence Mask (Vitamin)
There's nothing special about this mask.
May give extra vitamin to your skin, but I don't know which vitamins.
